  2. Finishers in each class will also receive one Bonus Point for each racer they finish in front of that started in their class (up to a maximum of 20 additional points).
  3. You must compete in at least 3 races to be eligible for an Overal Series award.
  4. In the case of a tie in points within the top three places in any category, the tie breaker is who beat who the most.
  5. Racers must enter and race in the correct age category. Your racing age for the entire year is the age that you will be on December 31, 2000.
  6. If you wish to move to a higher category during the season, points for up to one race in your former category may move up with you. To be eligible for an Overall Series Award in the new category, at least 2 race scores in the Overall Point Series Standings must be earned in the higher category. To have your points moved up, you must contact tailwind and make the request.
  7. Overall Series Awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each category.
  8. Overall Point Series Standings will be posted at each series event.
  9. Please note that the MMBA Championship Point Series and Tailwind's Michigan MTB Time Trial Series are two seperate race series. However, the time trial events at Yankee Springs (April 16) and at Ft. Custer (August 27) are a part of both race series, and the MMBA will tabulate their points for these events according to the rules for the MMBA Championship Point Series.
  10. Pre-registered riders start by category, Elite category first. Start order within each category for pre-registered riders is determined by the postmark date on each race entry. Sign up early for the entire series and that postmark date will be used in establishing your start order at each race. Riders registering on race day will be started in the order they register in regardless of category and will begin after the pre-registered riders have started.
